Paranormal Investigation – Nothe Fort, Weymouth.
Explore one of Dorset’s most atmospheric historic locations after dark. Led by the Extours team, you’ll investigate the tunnels, passageways and shadowy spaces of Nothe Fort, using specialist ghost-hunting equipment as we search for evidence of paranormal activity within its imposing walls.
Built in the 19th century to defend Weymouth Harbour, the fort has witnessed generations of military history and has developed a reputation for unexplained activity. Throughout the investigation, you’ll take part in a range of experiments and techniques, with opportunities to investigate some areas in smaller groups.
When the visitors have gone and the fort falls silent, its underground passages take on a very different atmosphere. What will we discover when the lights go out?

Led by the Extours team, including local experts with a deep passion for Somerset’s haunted past, you’ll explore the prison’s most active areas using specialist ghost-hunting equipment. Venture into one of Wiltshire’s most mysterious locations after dark. Led by the Extours team, you’ll investigate the woodland and surrounding areas associated with the centuries-old legend of Sally in the Wood, using specialist ghost-hunting equipment as we search for evidence of paranormal activity.
For generations, stories of strange encounters and unexplained phenomena have become attached to this isolated stretch of woodland. Throughout the investigation, you’ll take part in a range of paranormal experiments and techniques, exploring the location in darkness and discovering the history and folklore behind its chilling reputation.
Deep in the woods, away from the lights of nearby towns, the atmosphere changes completely after nightfall. Will Sally in the Wood live up to its reputation?
Paranormal Investigation at Dead Woman's Ditch
During this event we will make use of various devices that you would expect to find on a paranormal investigation, all of which you will have the opportunity to use. If feeling brave you will have the opportunity to get involved in some experiments such as the estes method. But be warned, a quick google search of “dead woman's ditch” reveals how many people believe they have had abuse hurled at them by a ghost that resides here.
