As someone who researches history as a hobby, I am regularly surprised by what you can discover about your local area that many are unaware of, I decided I would create an event that would allow me to spread awareness of this local history that often goes over-looked. Also, it gave an opportunity to talk about many of the buildings or features in a certain area that people have seen over the years and wondered what it was. Many are surprised by the amount that they learn about an area that they thought they knew so well. I am always pleased to see that people are often as surprised as I was upon learning many of the stories from their area.
Paranormal investigating is another hobby of mine and something that I have carried out for some years. I realise this is something else that many people are interested in although have not had the opportunity to experience for themselves. I thought what better way to allow people to experience this kind of thing than while learning about the history of the area. As with historical research I really enjoy being in a position to spread awareness and teach people about things that they were previously unaware of. I also really enjoy being able to create an environment in which people can experience paranormal phenomena for themselves. Also learning about the history allows us to put some of the paranormal responses that we receive into context which certainly adds to the experience.
Not only do I host many our events I am also the one working behind the scenes putting them together. If you have joined us for an event hosted by myself then you will know that I am very much a people person with a passion for history, in particular the history of the south west.
I spend much of my time researching in a hope to unearth the more elusive stories from our past, most of which are not included in “popular” histories. Many of these stories are regarded as “dark history” although w like to keep things light-hearted and ensure that a good time is had by everyone joining us. This is one of the things I love most about what we do at Extours, it is amazing to bring a group of people together and have a great night and create good memories in the process.
Another passion of mine is exploring the supernatural, I have had so many unexplainable experiences through carrying out paranormal investigations as a personal hobby that it is great to be in a position where I can create an environment which allows others to experience this kind of thing. This is something else I love about our unique events, lots of people have had some amazing experiences and many who joined the events as skeptics have left as believers!

As someone who's spent most of their life in Wiltshire, I'm always keen to share local histories and mysteries with others, and to learn more about this beautiful county. For a few years now, I've had a deep interest in all things Pagan, Witchcraft and paranormal, and I'm eager to experience the opportunities that Extours can provide to meet more like-minded people. I'm so excited to work with the Extours team, and to hopefully meet you all on the Salisbury Ghost Walk this October!
As our feedback shows, many have described our Ghost Walks as the perfect combination of history and paranormal. We like to focus on the forgotten and often gruesome historical stories and less well known events from our past. Not only will you also hear a range of weird and wonderful ghost stories and accounts of supernatural encounters (both old and new), you will also have the opportunity to get involved and use some paranormal investigation devices for yourself as we carry out our very own short investigations on the walk, the aim of which is to give participants an idea of what it is like to experience real paranormal investigation. If you are lucky, and brave, you might have a personal seemingly unexplainable experience like many others who have joined us have. Don't want to get involved? No problem, you are welcome to come along and witness first hand the paranormal activity that we might encounter.
From abandoned settlements and ancient chapels to haunted hotels and historic castles we aim to seek out some of the most haunted locations to carry out our paranormal investigation evenings. There will be a wide range of devices that you will have the opportunity to use on these events. For the braver participants there will also be the option to carry out some intriguing paranormal experiments. Dates will be added as they become available for paranormal investigation evenings so be sure to keep an eye on the website and our social media pages.
