There is not anything in particular that you need to bring along when joining us for a ghost walk. Just be mindful of the location in which you will be walking and wear appropriate footwear. You might want to bring along a torch but please avoid head head torches as this can blind the host - Some locations have some form of street lighting whereas other locations may generally be darker, you will be following the guide who will light the way with a lantern or torch but it might be an idea to have a small torch on you.
Yes, as a registered company, we are fully insured, including public liability insurance, to ensure the safety and protection of our guests and staff during all events
Our walks run in all weather conditions, and thankfully, guests still thoroughly enjoy them even in rain or cold. However, we strongly recommend dressing appropriately—wrap up warm, wear waterproof clothing if needed, and bring an umbrella to stay comfortable.
In cases of extreme weather where conditions are deemed unsafe, we will take appropriate action. Should a walk need to be rescheduled for safety reasons, we will contact you as soon as possible to make the necessary arrangements. Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your understanding.

Not at all. Our ghost walks and haunted tours are designed for everyone — from curious first-timers to paranormal enthusiasts. Your guide will lead the experience and, where included, explain how any ghost hunting activities work in a fun and accessible way.
Our ghost walks are designed to be atmospheric, immersive and fun. We try to make the paranormal side more intriguing than scary. While some stories and locations can be spooky, the aim is to entertain and intrigue, not terrify. If you prefer a more intense experience, our ghost hunts and dedicated investigation evenings offer a deeper dive into the paranormal.
Please note that we operate a no refunds policy for customer cancellations. If you are unable to attend your booking, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible.
Provided we receive notice more than 14 days before your scheduled experience, we will do our best to reschedule your booking to another available date at no additional charge.
If you request to reschedule between 48 hours and 14 days before your scheduled experience, a £5 rescheduling fee per ticket will apply.
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required for all rescheduling requests. Unfortunately, bookings cannot be transferred or rescheduled within 48 hours of the experience, and failure to attend does not entitle you to a refund or transfer.
Each booking may be rescheduled once only. Once a booking has been transferred to an alternative date, no further changes or transfers can be made.
All rescheduling is subject to availability. We cannot guarantee availability on a particular alternative date, and your booking can only be transferred where sufficient spaces are available.
For larger group or private bookings, different rescheduling terms and additional charges may apply.
In the unlikely event that Extours cancels an experience, you will be offered the option to reschedule to another suitable date or location or receive a full refund. Rescheduling fees do not apply when an experience is cancelled by Extours.
By making a booking with Extours, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Arrival & Late Attendance
Please arrive at the stated meeting point 5–10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Experiences begin promptly and we allow a maximum 5-minute grace period. Once the group has departed, late arrivals may not be able to join the experience and will be treated as a non-attendance.
Weather & Safety
Our outdoor experiences operate in most weather conditions, including rain. Guests should dress appropriately for the conditions and wear suitable footwear.
Extours reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel an experience where conditions are considered unsafe, including severe weather, flooding, high winds, icy conditions or other circumstances that may affect the safety of guests or staff.
Routes & Experience Content
Routes, stopping points and content may occasionally need to be changed due to circumstances outside our control, including road closures, events, access restrictions, weather or safety considerations. Where necessary, your host may adapt the route while delivering the experience as closely as reasonably possible to that advertised.
Guest Conduct
We want our experiences to be enjoyable and safe for everyone. Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards the host, other guests and members of the public.
Extours reserves the right to refuse participation or ask a guest to leave where their behaviour is disruptive, abusive, unsafe or significantly affects the experience of others. Refunds will not be provided where a guest is refused participation or removed for these reasons.
Children & Supervision
Where children are permitted to attend, they must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult throughout the experience. Some experiences or departure times may have specific minimum age requirements, which will be stated when booking.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on experiences where dogs are permitted. Dogs must remain on a lead and under control at all times. Owners are responsible for their dog's behaviour and for cleaning up after them. We reserve the right to ask for a disruptive or unsafe dog to be removed from the experience.
Personal Belongings
Guests remain responsible for their own personal belongings during an experience. Extours cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost, damaged or left behind, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Cancellations & Booking Changes
Customer bookings are non-refundable. Our full cancellation and rescheduling policy, including applicable rescheduling fees and notice periods, can be found in the Cancellation & Rescheduling section of our FAQs.
If Extours is required to cancel an experience, customers will be offered an alternative date or location, or a full refund.
Acceptance of Terms
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and any additional information or restrictions displayed for the experience you have booked.
